The class opened by reviewing some of the topics mentioned in day two. A data model of how to use flash was drawn for the class. This model explained methods of bringing data and files into flash and presented a workflow of how flash communication works.

Using a mad lib example storing and working with data elements was explained further focusing on string data. After walking through the way the file worked, the student got a step by step example about how to add more mad lib sentances to the file.

After the demonstration the students had a choice to continue exploring the example file or research thier class projects.
